Newly married couples have been advised to exercise patience and avoid the influence of third parties in their affairs to ensure a happy married life.

The Director-General, Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria, FRCN Dr. Mohammed Bulama gave the advice at the marriage ceremony of the daughter of a former Aviation Minister, Ambassador Kema Chikwe at Emekuku in Owerri north local government area of Imo state.

Represented by the Zonal Director FRCN South East Zone, Dr. Ikechukwu Eze, the Director General said though marriage could have its challenges especially at the early stage, what was needed was tolerance to ensure a peaceful hom

The mother of the bride Ambassador Kema Chikwe prayed to God to grant the couple long life, joy and fruits of the womb while urging them to live together in love.

The Imo State Governor, Chief Hope Uzodimma described the marriage between Miss Krystal Chikwe and her Irish husband Mr. Tadhq O’ Dwyer as amazing and expressed the hope that the union would promote intercultural marriages.

The Traditional ruler of Umuakaliukwu community, Emekuku Professor Eugene Iheanacho advised the couple to be perseverant and never to give up on things of trials.

Dignitaries that attended the event included the Deputy Governor of Abia state Mr. Ikechukwu Emetu, his counterpart in Imo Dr. Chinyere Ekumaro, two former Deputy Governors of Imo state, serving and former members of the National Assembly among others.
