The Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC, in Anambra State has prosecuted thirty-six traffic offenders in a mobile court session organized at Nteje .
The court session is part of the effort by the Command to reduce road traffic crashes.

During the exercise, thirty-six motorists were arrested for seventy seven traffic offences and arraigned before the mobile court.

The mobile court was presided over by Magistrate Maria Anyanbolu.

At the end of the proceedings, thirty offenders were convicted while six were discharged.

Among the offences recorded during the exercise were seat belt use violations, speed limiting device violations, and light sign violations.
Others were overloading, failure to move over for emergency vehicles, number plate violations, driver’s licence and offences.

Four of the offenders were also arraigned for attempting to corrupt FRSC personnel on duty.
They were subsequently convicted, reinforcing the Corps’ zero tolerance policy towards corruption.

Speaking after the exercise, the Unit Commander, Chief Route Commander Uche Job, reiterated the command’s commitment to strict enforcement of traffic regulations.
He also urged motorists to comply with road safety rules to ensure safer roads for all road users.
