Wife of Anambra State Governor, Mrs Nonye Soludo, has described Nigeria’s cultural diversity as a source of pride, identity and strength for peace, unity and the development of the country.
Mrs Soludo stated this in her message to commemorate this year’s World Day For Cultural Diversity and Development.
She emphasized that though Nigerians differ in languages, traditions, mode of dressing, food, music and values, they all tell one powerful story of shared humanity.
Mrs Soludo noted that in Anambra State and across Nigeria cultural diversity is not a barrier but a great asset.
The Governor’s wife called for continued tolerance, respect, understanding and love among citizens ,stressing that development thrives where dialogue and peace exist.
Mrs Soludo advocated the raising of a generation of Nigerians that would value tolerance over division, unity over hatred, and collaboration over discrimination.
