The Wife of the Anambra State Governor, Mrs Nonye Soludo, has reminded residents of the state of the dangers of hypertension, describing it as the silent killer.
In a message marking Hypertension Awareness Month, Mrs Soludo said that high blood pressure is called the silent killer because it exists without obvious symptoms.
According to her, with simple daily lifestyle choices and regular medical checks, it can be detected early, prevented, and properly managed.
She encouraged deliberate actions towards healthy living, calling on the citizens to make their health a priority by checking their blood pressure regularly.
Mrs Soludo harped on the need for continuous awareness, encouraging one another, and taking deliberate and important steps toward healthy living.
