Anambra State Governor Chukwuma says the integration of technology into every facet of governance and the economy is the foundation his administration’s vision to position the State as Africa’s Silicon Valley and secure its long-term prosperity.
The Governor made the assertion while addressing the graduands of Anambra Startup Investment and Technology Skills Programme at Government House Awka.
He described the digital transformation agenda as a personal commitment and an existential necessity for the state’s survival, rather than a mere political strategy.
Governor Soludo stressed that his ability to handle multiple high-value consultancies would have been impossible without technology.
He warned that failure to immerse the state’s youth deeply in the modern technological ecosystem would leave them behind in a fast-evolving global landscape.
Highlighting key initiatives, his administration in digital technology the Governor pointed out Solution Innovation District and the “1 Million Anambra Digital Tribe” project as foundational pillars for building a tech-saturated economy.
Governor Soludo told the graduants that government has opened the doors of opportunities for them through the training and support, but it now falls on the beneficiaries to widen those doors and seize the future.
He urged the young innovators to deploy their newly acquired skills to conquer local and global spaces.
The event featured startup funding awards to the graduands.
