The Commissioner of Police, Anambra State Command, Nnanna Ama, has directed relevant operational and investigative units to intensify efforts towards identifying and apprehending the perpetrators of the shooting incidents that claimed the life of a popular comedian and Media Personality in Awka, Isaac Nwosu, also known as Azia Nwosu .
The Comedian and a yet to be identified man were killed in separate attacks
by some suspected gunman that operated in Corolla car on Sunday evening in Awka throwing the town into panic.
In a directive after a two-hour closed-door strategic meeting with the Command’s strategic and operational officers at the Command’s headquarters in Amawbia, the Commissioner of Police explained that it was part of efforts to strengthen security operations and sustain the fight against violent crime in the state.
The Commissioner paid a condolence visit to the family of the late Isaac Nwosu who he described as an asset to Anambra State.
Mr Nnanna noted that the deceased would b greatly missed by the Anambra State Police Command, particularly for his contributions during the Command’s security advocacy programmes and other related activities.
He assured the family and residents of Anambra State that the Command would work to apprehend the perpetrators of the crime and prosecute them.
