The Commissioner of Police, Anambra State Command, Ikioye Orutugu has expressed satisfaction with the operational performance of the Command, stating that it has continued to record remarkable successes despite prevailing security challenges.
Speaking during a security conference with the management team in Awka, Orutugu noted that the achievements have inspired greater commitment among officers in line with the expectations of the Inspector-General of Police, the Anambra State Government, and the good people of the state.
He stressed that the Command remains focused on ensuring the safety and sustainable growth of the state.
The Commissioner reminded all officers present that the police uniform they wear remains a symbol of honour, sacrifice, and public trust.
He charged them to remain disciplined, courageous, and fully committed to their constitutional responsibilities, assuring that together, they would consolidate on the successes already recorded and further raise the standard of policing in Anambra State.
Radio Nigeria Correspondent Uche Ndeke reports that the high-level meeting was attended by members of the Command’s management team, including the Eight Area Commanders, all tactical Commanders, the 56 Divisional Police Officers, Divisional Crime Officers, and other senior officers.
