A ten year old boy who was brutally abused by is guardian in odume, Isiowulu Layout Onitsha is now receiving treatment at the General Hospital Onitsha.
The social Media went agog when the video of the injuries inflicted on the ten old Chiziterem by his aunt who he was living with as a house help went viral.
Anambra state Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development, Mrs Esther Onyekesi made this known shortly after visiting the hospital to see the victim.
She was represented by the member representing Onitsha North constituency 1, in the State House of Assembly,Mrs Mimi Ikpeazu who is also Chairman Anambra, House Committee on Women Affairs.
The commissioner described the incident as disturbing and noted that government was concerned about the well-being of the boy.
She said that the state government would ensure that the perpetrator was brought to book.
Meanwhile three suspects are presently in police custody over their alleged invoice in the brutal abuse of the 10-year-old boy.
The Police Public Relations Officer, Mr Tochkwu Ikenga said the police would continue conduct detailed investigation into the matter.
