The General Overseer of a Pentecostal Church , Dayspring Assembly, Obosi in Anambra State, Harrison Anazodo, on monday appeared before an Anambra State High Court in Awka presided by Justice Jude Obiora on seven count charges bordering on accumulation of wealth through supernatural powers.
The Clergy man was brought to the court on a wheelchair from Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University Teaching Hospital, Awka,
The charges against him proscribed by the Anambra State Homeland Security Law 2025, also include murder, abduction, and the unlawful separation and isolation of individuals from their families and keeping them in his residence.
The offences were alleged to have been committed between the year 2000 and 2025.
Though the defendant pleaded not guilty to all seven counts, the court refused his application for bail but agreed that he should be returned to the hospital because of his health condition
The matter was subsequently adjourned to October 12, 2026, for the hearing of the bail application and further proceedings.
Correspondent Uche Ndeke reports that Pastor Anazodo was arrested by officials of the Anambra State Government in June this year.
