The Anambra State House of Assembly has expressed satisfaction with the quality of wokr done on the Oraukwu Nimo road.
They stated this during an oversight inspection on the 4.9 kilometer road awarded by the Governor Chukwuma Soludo led administration in his first tenure .
Chairman of the House Committee on Works, Engineer Emmanuel Nwafor who led the members commended the pace and the adherence to contract specifications.
According to him, the firm complied with the width and drainage channels on both sides of the road as well as the culvert and bridges.
Engineer Nwafor however drew the attention of the contractor to some portions especially drainage facilities that needed urgent attention to ensure that the road is completely done before handing it over to the government.
For his part, the member representing Njikoka Constituency 2, Mr Jude Akpua said the road was very strategic to his constituents as will aid human and vehicular movements in and out of the area.
A stakeholder in Oraukwu and immediate past Secretary to the Anambra State Government, Professor Solo Chukwulobelu expressed the hope that the firm handling the project will adhere to the recommendations of the House Committee on Works for the overall interest of the people.
