Governor Chukwuma Soludo of Anambra State has forwarded Commissioner nominees to the state House of Assembly.
The list was presented during plenary presided over by the Speaker of the House, Mr Somtochukwu Udeze.
The Speaker subsequently referred the nominees to the House Committee on Screening and Election Matters for legislative scrutiny and screening.
Those nominated included Doctor Ben Chuks Odoemena for Agriculture, Mr. Chukwukadibia Okoye for Budget and Economic Planning, and Mr. Udoji Amedu for Culture, Entertainment and Tourism.
Others are Doctor Ekene Ogugua for Education, Doctor Clem Aguiyi for Environment, Mr. Izuchukwu Okafor for Finance, Doctor Afam Obidike for Health, and Doctor Law Mefor for Information and Value Reorientation.
Also on the list are Mr Tobechukwu Nweke, SAN, for Justice and Attorney-General, Professor Offornze Amucheazi, SAN, for Lands, and Mr Vin Ezeaka for Local Government and Community Affairs.
The nominees further included Professor Charles Ofoegbu for Petroleum and Mineral Resources, Mr Oseloka Ojukwu for Physical Planning and Urban Development, Mr Casmir Agummadu for Power, and Architect Okey Ezeobi for Works and Infrastructure.
Others are Eddy Ibuzo for Transport, Mrs Esther Onyekesi for Women Affairs and Social Development, as well as Mr. Patrick Agha for Youth Development and Sports.
The screening exercise is expected to commence after the committee concludes preliminary documentation and schedules appearance dates for the nominees.
