Governor Chukwuma Soludo of Anambra State has inaugurated a 2.5km road in Ichida, Anaocha Local Government Area, constructed under the Public-Private-Community Partnership model to expand infrastructure across Anambra State.
The road was constructed by Chief Tochukwu Nzekwe as part of efforts to accelerate infrastructure growth through the PPCP framework.
Speaking at the inauguration, Governor Soludo commended the partnership and urged more communities and individuals to embrace the model.
The governor reiterated that Anambra would progress faster when citizens partnered the state government to deliver roads, schools, and other public goods.
Governor Soludo explained that his administration was taking a strategic approach to road infrastructure by linking interior roads through the PPCP model to improve the state’s road network efficiency.
He noted that the initiative was designed to turn every town into a construction site and reduce dependence on government alone for infrastructure.
Earlier, Chief Nzekwe who extolled the governor for his development strides in the area said he funded the project to support the governor’s vision for a livable and prosperous Anambra
Correspondent Ben Ilechukwu reports that the PPCP model remains a key part of Soludo’s administration, with similar projects underway in communities across the state.
