National Youth Service Corps NYSC members posted to Anambra state have been assured of adequate security during their compulsory one year stay in the state.
Governor Chukwuma Soludo gave the assurance during the 2026 Batch B stream 2 orientation ceremony held at the Nnamdi Azikiwe NYSC Permanent Camp , Umuawulu Mbaukwu Anambra state.

The Corps members in the camp comprise 746 males and 904 females.
Governor Soludo who was represented by hos Deputy , Doctor Onyekachukwu Ibezim, promised that the state will collaborate with the management to ensure that the basic infrastructure are provided and fixed, in the interest of the corps member.
He therefore called on them to contribute their quota towards the overall development of their immediate environment and work hard to make Nigeria proud.
In an address the State Coordinator of the National Youth Service Corps, Mrs. Pauline Ojisua,stressed that every corps member must complete all the programmes unbroken for twelve months to qualify for the Certificate of National Service.
Mrs. Ojisua noted that the orientation course is designed to equip the corps members with knowledge of the scheme’s operations and expectations as the programme includes physical and mental exercises, traditional and professional lectures, skills acquisition and entrepreneurship development, martial arts, environmental sanitation, and religious activities.
She charged the corps members to participate fully in all camp activities and encouraged them to enlist in various camp committees, including the Orientation Broadcasting Service, Camp Clinic, Socials, Sports, SAED, and Security.
The State Coordinator highlighted that the camp operates under regimented control guided by the sounds of the bugle, and urged the corps members to quickly learn and obey the signals
Mrs. Ojisua expressed appreciation to the Governor, Professor Chukwuma Soludo, for his continuous support to the scheme and thanked all NYSC collaborating partners for their cooperation.
The Chairman NYSC Governing Board and Commssioner for Sports and Youth Development, Mr Patrick Agha -Mba encouraged the corps members to participate actively in every camp activity, obey camp rules and regulations, respect constituted authority, and uphold the Oath of Allegiance.
He encouraged them to embrace the opportunities for learning, leadership, teamwork and cultural integration that the Orientation Course offers, as these experiences will prepare them for a successful and impactful service year.
Dignitaries that attended the event include the Speaker of the Anambra State House of Assembly, Mr Somtochukwu Udeze who was represented by Head Planning, Research and Statistics , Mr Arinze Egoh and other Heads of Federal agencies.
