The Police Service Commission (PSC) in collaboration with the Nigeria Police Force (NPF), has fixed 28th – 30th April 2026 as the dates for the Written Examination exercise for applicants seeking enlistment as Police Constables (for both General Duty and Specialist applicants).
The Police Service Commission reiterates that the recruitment process is entirely free and warned that any form of job racketeering, scams or financial inducement will be met with the full force of the law.
The exercise will take place at designated centres across the 36 States and the Federal Capital Territory.
A statement by the Anambra State Police Public Relations Officer, Tochukwu Ikenga, says the exercise will be held in Anambra at the Federal Government Technical College, Awka.
According to the statement, only candidates who successfully passed the physical and credentials screening are eligible.
Qualified candidates are to log on to https://www.npfapplication.psc.gov.ng to print their Examination Invitation Card, which indicates the specific date, time and venue of their test.
The statement lists one Pen, National Identification Number (NIN) Slip from NIMC (with clear photograph), Printed Examination Invitation Card and also a Dress Code of white shorts, white T-shirt and white canvas as items required on the examination day.
Meanwhile, the Anambra State Police Commissioner, Ikioye Orutugu has urged all eligible candidates in the State to comply strictly with the above guidelines.
CP Orutugu further advised them to arrive early at the examination venue, and conduct themselves in an orderly manner.
