Governor Alex Otti of Abia State has pledged to continue to improve on the well-being of the citizens of the state by delivering people oriented projects.
Speaking in Umuahia, Governor Otti noted that his administration has maintained fiscal discipline while embarking on massive infrastructural renewal projects across the state.
The Governor announced that the present administration has reduced the state’s debt profile by over 70 per cent through prudent financial management and accountability.
According to the Governor, the state government had invested heavily on youth empowerment through technology-driven initiatives focused on software engineering, artificial intelligence and cyber security training pointing out that over N300 million haw been earmarked to support technology-based enterprises and innovation across the state.
Governor Otti said the prompt payment of salaries and pensions remained his priority and noted that sustained collaboration with security agencies and community stakeholders has improved the safety of lives and property across the state.
He assured residents that his administration would continue to strengthen governance institutions, improve public services and expand economic opportunities for the benefit of all Abians.
