Mothers have been described as the pillars on which every society is built.

Speaking in an interview with Radio Nigeria in Awka, the Head of Service of Anambra, State, Mrs Ngozi Anuli Iwouno celebrated mothers, emphasising that the sacrifices they make on a daily basis were born out of a depth of love, care and selflessness that was boundless.

She praised women who work hard to keep their families together by training their children to become useful members of the society, stressing that fathers cannot do it alone in catering for the needs of their households.

Mrs Iwouno encouraged women to learn skills that can help them to improve and stabilize their finances.

The Anambra State Head of Service tasked mothers to lead by example and emulate the virtues of the Blessed Virgin Mary.

She pointed out that the decadence in the society today could be traced to the failure of the family unit to train children to become good citizens.

The Civil Service boss urged mothers to pay more attention to their families so as to make a better society for future generations.

Mrs Ngozi Iwouno wished all mothers and intending mothers a beautiful mothering Sunday celebration.
