Christians have been
urged to remain steadfast in their faith and trust in God, especially during trials and difficult times.
The Parish Priest of Sacred Heart Catholic Chaplaincy Ngozika Housing Estate, Awka, Reverend Father Chigozie Jidere gave the charge in a homily.
Father Chigozie Jidere encouraged christians to understand and apply the Word of God in their daily lives and avoid anything that will make them to depart in God’s presence.
He said that walking with God provides lasting peace and joy that cannot be found in worldly possessions, noting that the peace offered by Jesus Christ is different from what the world provides.
Reverend Father Jidere warned against turning away from faith, noting that steadfast trust in God enables believers to preserve their spiritual lives and remain hopeful amid trials.
The deeply spiritual and joyous celebration was marked by an important milestone in the faith journey of the young communicants, as they partook in the Eucharist for the very first time.
