The place of collaboration in providing accessible, innovative and globally competitive education cannot be over emphasized.
The Commissioner for Education,Anambra state,Dr Ekene Ogugua made this known during a visit to the Vice Chancellor, Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka,Prof Bond Anyaehie.
Describing the visit as part of efforts to strengthen collaboration between the Anambra State Government and tertiary institutions in advancing quality education, Dr. Ogugua reaffirmed the Ministry’s commitment to building strong partnerships that will help in achieving the Soludo administration’s vision of competitive education for every Anambra child.
He further stated that the Ministry would continue to engage stakeholders at all levels to promote education excellence, institutional growth, and sustainable human capital development.
In his response, Vice-Chancellor,UNIZIK,Prof Bond Anyaehie commended the Anambra State Government’s commitment to education transformation.
Prof. Anyaehie advocated a strategic partnership between the Anambra State Government and the University, particularly in supporting the University’s Demonstration Primary and Secondary Schools noting that such collaboration would further enhance teaching, learning, research, and the overall development of the institutions for the benefit of students and the state.
In their speeches, they underscored the shared commitment of both the Anambra State Ministry of Education and Nnamdi Azikiwe University to fostering stronger institutional partnerships aimed at improving the standard of Education and expanding opportunities for learners across the state.
Present during the visit were the Deputy Vice-Chancellor,Academics,Prof Alex Asigbo and other notable staff of the University and ministry.
