The Speaker of the House of Assembly, Dr Somtochukwu Udeze, charged newly confirmed commissioners in the state to align with the Solution Agenda of Governor Chukwuma Soludo by prioritising development projects and policies aimed at improving the welfare of the people.
He congratulated the commissioners and urged them to justify the confidence reposed in them by contributing meaningfully to the repositioning of their respective ministries in line with the administration’s vision of infrastructural and human capital development.
Earlier, the Deputy Speaker of the House and Chairman, House Committee on Screening, Mr Chukwuma Okoye, disclosed that the sixteen nominees demonstrated competence, capacity and readiness to serve during the screening exercise.
He noted that the committee cleared all the nominees strictly on merit after satisfying itself with their qualifications and suitability for the offices.
Responding on behalf of the confirmed commissioners, the Commissioner for Information and Value Reorientation, Dr. Law Mefor, appreciated members of the House for the confidence reposed in them and pledged their commitment to delivering quality service in their respective ministries for the growth and development of Anambra State.
