Abia State Government is to organise a Business Roundtable meeting aimed at exchanging ideas with members of the business community across the country to strengthening it’s collaboration with the private sector.
The Commissioner for Information, Prince Okey Kanu alongside the Director General and Chief Executive Officer, Abia State Public Private Partnership Office and Investment Promotions Office, Mr Chinedum Chijioke snnouncrd this to Journalists during a joint Press Meeting at the Government House Umuahia.
Prince Kanu said the Abia business roundtable would be presided over by the state Governor Alex Otti by next week.
He further noted that issues that would promote businesses in Abia state and investment potential that would attract people to the state would all be discussed in the business meeting.
Contributing, the Chief Executive Officer, Abia State Public Private Partnership Office and Investment Promotions Office, Mr Chinedum Chijioke said the idea is to create a platform for the government to engage the business community.
Mr Chijioke said that there is a need for the government to have a platform where it engages the business community to exchange ideas, address challenges.
