As christians commemorate Ash Wednesday, the wife of the Anambra State Governor, Doctor Nonye Soludo has asked them to use period of lent for supplication and atonement of their sin.
Mrs Soludo noted that Ash Wednesday reminds faithful of the ephemerality of mortality, the temporariness of thoughts, and God’s unmistakable promise of life.
Mrs. Soludo urged christians to embody the example of Christ Himself noting that In the next 39 Days of Lent, it is expected that christians will live out the true image of Christ and lay down the swords of enemity and bitterness for the overall good of mankind.
The First Lady of Anambra State expressed hope that the season would bring people together in positive ways praying that the upcoming holy days become a great moment for families and communities to unite and grow better in love, harmony, and peace.
