Governor Chukwuma Soludo has inaugurated a 1.7km road in Achalla community, Awka North Local Government Area, constructed under the Public-Private-Community Partnership model to strengthen infrastructure development in the area.
The road was constructed by Sir Emmanuel Nwakanma as part of efforts to promote infrastructure growth through the PPCP framework.
Speaking at the inauguration, Governor Soludo commended the partnership, saying that the PPCP model was designed to make every town a construction site and reduce dependence on government alone for infrastructure.
The Governor urged other communities and individuals to embrace the model, noting that Anambra’s progress would be faster when citizens partnered with the state to deliver roads, schools, and other public goods.
Earlier, In a speech, Sir Emmanuel Nwakanma said he funded the project to give back to his community and support the governor’s vision for a livable and prosperous Anambra.
Community leaders at the event thanked the governor for recognizing private and communal efforts , noting that the road would boost economic activities in Achalla and neighboring villages.
They pledged to maintain the road and explore further collaboration with the state on other projects.
Correspondent Ben Ilechukwu reports that the PPCP model has been central to Soludo’s administration, with similar projects ongoing in several communities across Anambra.
