Governor Alex Otti has expressed the resolve of his administration to make Abia State healthcare system a model of excellence in Nigeria.
Governor Otti stated at his office in Nvosi, Isialangwa South LGA, when he received the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Joint Commission International certification JNCI, Mrs Clare Omatseye .
He expressed satisfaction with the pace of work in some facilities in the state
Governor Otti said that Abia State University Teaching Hospital, ABSUTH, Amachara and Umunneato General Hospitals would be upgraded to world-class standard.
The Governor explained that the decision to centralise advanced radiography services at ABSUTH, were carefully designed to ensure efficiency in service delivery and maximum impact. on the citizens.
Earlier , while presenting a comprehensive update on Abia state healthcare transformation agenda, Mrs. Clare Omatseye, commended Governor Otti for prioritising healthcare delivery
She explained that the team was in the State to present progress reports on the ongoing redesigning upgrading, and installation of modern medical equipment in tertiary hospitals in the state.
