One hundred women from the twenty one local government areas of Anambra state are currently undergoing intensive training in various self reliant skills.
The women are being sponsored by the state government.
The training which was inaugurated by the Wife of the Governor, Mrs Nonye Soludo about five weeks ago covers repairs of air conditioners and telephones servicing of tricycles, automobiles mechanic and other areas.
Speaking after visiting different locations of the training, Mrs Soludo expressed satisfaction with the progress being made by the women in the exercise.
She said that the training would assist women to acquire skills that would aid them to support their families economically and contribute more to the development of the state.
Mrs Soludo commended the passion and dedication being exhibited by the women in the training and hoped that they would graduate with skills and experience that would transform their lives permanently.
