More personnel of the Nigeria army are expected to be in Anambra very soon to beef up the the fight against insecurity in the area.
Governor Chukwuma Soludo made the revelation in Awka during the third year anniversary celebration of the Anambra State House of Assembly .
According to the Governor, a delegation of Nigeria Army has visited the state to assess plans to establish barracks in the state to assist in the fight against criminality
Governor Soludo said the state was already winning the war against crime as peace has returned to all the communities with the support of president Bola Tinubu.
He noted that the administration of President Tinubu was doing a lot in the fight against insecurity across the country.
The Governor commended the Anambra 8th Assembly for making laws that has helped the executive arm in providing dividends of democracy to the people.
Governor Soludo while praising those that set the foundation for the present democratic governance in the nation, said democracy remains the best form of government for the overall interest of the people.
In a speech, the Speaker of the House , Mr Somtochukwu Udeze noted that the law makers will continue to make laws and resolutions that will impact the wellbeing of the people at the grassroots.
Mr Udeze said despite the divergent political affiliations of the members, the progress and development of the state remains paramount.
Radio Nigeria Correspondent Uche Ndeke reports that there was a Thanksgiving mass to celebrate the three years anniversary of the 8th Assembly.
