Fifty thousand students are to benefit from President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda Scholarship Scheme for free Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board ( JAMB) registration.
The initiative will support 10,000 prospective candidates in each state of the five South East region with every beneficiary receiving Eight thousand five hundred naira to cover registration fees for the 2026 Examination.
The programme was officially launched in Anambra by the National Coordinator of the Southeast Renewed Hope Agenda, Mr Belusochukwu Enwerem, who described the effort as part of the president’s broader commitment to quality education and youth empowerment.
Speaking at the event, Mr Enwerem said the occasion represented more than a formal launch, calling it a movement of hope and empowerment that affirms that financial limitations should not define the future of students in Anambra State.
He emphasized that education remains the strongest foundation for sustainable development, describing the programme as a deliberate investment in thousands of future professionals including doctors, engineers, lawyers, teachers, entrepreneurs, innovators, and national leaders.
According to him, the initiative goes beyond charity, positioning it instead as strategic empowerment aligned with the Renewed Hope vision of youth inclusion, improved access to education, and long-term human capital development.
Mr Enwerem also urged beneficiaries to approach the opportunity with discipline, determination, and excellence while preparing seriously for their examinations.
Addressing parents and guardians, he noted that the programme is designed to ease financial pressure and reinforce the message that their children’s future truly matters.
The State Coordinator Anambra State Chapter south East Renewed Hope agenda (SARHA) Comrade Alphonsus Muonagolu said it is a thing of joy that students across the 21 local government Areas of Anambra State are among the benefactors.
He thanked president Tinubu for the kind gesture and appealed to the beneficiaries to seize the opportunity, register for the Examination and come out in flying colours.

Two other beneficiaries Chizoba Chukwumaejim and Patrick Onuora Appreciated the President and prayed God to sustain him.
Others who spoke noted that President Tinubu has removed a burden to some parents in securing higher Education for their children.
