Christians have been enjoined to love one another as christ loves them.

A Catholic priest, Reverend Father Pascal-Paul Okeke stated this in a homily at Sacred Heart Catholic Chaplaincy, Ngozika Housing Estate, Awka.

Reverend Father Pascal-Paul Okeke explained that the second great commandment of Jesus Christ was loving oneself as his neighbours.

The Catholic priest noted that people cannot love God without loving their neighbours and cannot love their neighbours without loving God.

Reverend Father Okeke further assured Christian faithful of great rewards that awaited those working in accordance with God’s commands, including long life, peace and Favour.

He noted that gratitude in every situation is a declaration of faith as trusting God is sovereign and good, even when one does not understand His plans.
