Governor Alex Otti of Abia state says his huge investment in Education sector in the state is future-driven.
Governor Otti stated this when he received the Abia-born President-elect of the All-African Students’ Union, AASU, Comrade Enyinnaya Osisiogu, and his delegation at his Nvosi Isialangwa South LGA office.
Governor Otti who congratulated Comrade Osisiogu on his emergence at the Continental Congress, said his administration would remain remains committed in delivering on its campaign promises, especially in the Education Sector.
He advised the newly elected AASU Leader, to remain committed in the values that earned him continental confidence and pledged full support of the State Government throughout his tenure.
Contributing, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Students Affairs, Mr Chinedu Nwosu explained that the Abia Born All African Students Union president was recently elected during the 14 Elective Congress of the Union which comprises 55 Countries and represents over 170 Million Students.
In his speech, the All African Students Union President Elect, Comrade Enyinnaya Osisiogu attributed his victory to the transformative work of Governor Otti in the state and applauded the State’s government plan to pioneer advanced courses such as Cyber security and Artificial Intelligence at Abia State Polytechnic.
Comrade Osisiogu pledged to prioritize Abia in AASU’s continental programmes and attract Educational development opportunities to the State.
