Governor Chukwuma Soludo of Anambra State has inaugurated the  newly constructed Protocol Lounge at Chinụa Achebe International Airport in Umueri aimed at boosting aviation infrastructure facilities in the area.


‎On the occasion, Governor Soludo emphasized that the lounge embodies his administration’s dedication to upgrading public facilities and propelling Anambra State’s aviation and hospitality industries forward.

‎He highlighted that the facility would not only elevate visitors experience but also showcase the state’s renowned hospitality, while driving economic growth, tourism, and investment.



‎Earlier in a speech, the Commissioner for Transportation, Mrs Patricia Igwebuike, commended Governor Soludo for prioritizing infrastructure development, noting that the lounge was poised to boost airport traffic and competitiveness in the region.

‎Also speaking, the contractor, Mr. Ajaeze Gilbert while highlighting the significance of the project, showcased the lounge’s impressive features, including plush seating, high-speed internet, and robust security measures, aimed at ensuring a seamless and secure experience for patrons.

‎The state-of-the-art Protocol Lounge was designed to provide succour to Very Important Persons (VIPs) , government officials, and business travelers with top-tier comfort, exclusivity, and services.
