The Speaker of Anambra State House of Assembly, Somtochukwu Udeze has requested the House Committee on Rules, Ethics and Privileges, to review the suspension of Barnard Udemezue representing Ayamelum Constituency.

The Speaker who gave the directive during plenary on Tuesday, urged the Chairman of the Committee, Mr Ikenna Ofodeme to in accordance with the House resolution, urgently reveiw the suspension of Udemezue, and report to the House in the next adjurned date.

The House of Assembly had in resolution during plenary in August last year and based on the report of House Committee on Ethics and Privileges, suspended Mr Udemezue over uncomplimentary activities based on the report of its committee on Ethics and Privileges.

This was followed by another suspension for three months for failing to abide by an earlier order of the House.

The additional three months suspension which commenced on November 26, lat year is expected to end on February 26 this year.
This is however subject to review by the Committee on Ethics and Privileges, which will evaluate
the extent of compliance by the suspended law maker.

Radio Nigeria Correspondent Uche Ndeke reports that the House adjourned sitting to reconvene on Thursday this week.
