The Anambra State Police Command has taken into custody, one of the prime suspects in the gruesome murder of a pregnant nurse whose body was mutilated in Ogbunike, Oyi Local Government Area.
The 26 years male lsuspect, identified as Chibunna Nwafor and also known as “Offonwadile,” was apprehended in his hideout at Umueri community on 11th of February as part of the Command’s ongoing investigation into the tragic incident.
A statement made available by the Police Public Relations Officer in Anambra State, Tochukwu Ikenga says the Command has handed the suspect over to the Police higher Investigative formation for discreet investigative proceedings.
Given the above, the Commissioner of Police Ikioye Orutugu while commending the members of the community whose cooperation and timely information significantly contributed to the breakthrough, reiterates the Command’s commitment to ensuring that all individuals involved in the heinous crime were brought to justice.
