Christians have been advised to devote their interest on values of prayer, love and forgiveness for a lasting family.
The Catholic Archbishop of Onitsha and Metropolitan of Onitsha Ecclesiastical Province, the Most Reverend Valerian Okeke gave the advice in a homily at Blessed Iwene Tansi Catholic Church, Umudioka.
Archbishop Okeke who spoke on Relational Character in a Family noted that a family that prays together stays together, stressing that prayer attracts peace, joy, unity and progress in every family.
He also urged couples to embrace love of one another, adding that, without love, a family risks being thrown into disarray.
He noted that Love is the epicentre of a united family, stressing
that every family should live a life of love that is above board.
The Parish Priest of Blessed Iwene Tansi Parish, Reverend Father Emmanuel Obimma appreciated the Archbishop for his visit, which he described as home-coming, even as he noted that many parishioners have been saved and delivered by his homily which he described as spiritual, compact, touching, impactful and practical.
About three hundred children received the sacrament of confirmation during the Mass.
