The All Progressives Congress, APC, has commenced its campaign for the upcoming Local Government election in Enugu State, scheduled, 26th of this month.
Addressing a massive supporters that gathered at Nkwo Nike, headquarters of Enugu-East Local Government Area ,the Chairman of the council, Pastor Beloved-Dan Obi-Anike who is seeking re-election and election of counselorship candidates under APC, stated his commitment to continue his good works including human capital and infrastructure development.
Pastor Obi-Anike who spoke alongside party stalwarts, top government functionaries, the party’s candidates vying for different political positions in the upcoming general election,teeming supporters as well as people from different walks of life, assured the people that the landmark transformation he had brought to the area, would continue, even on a greater scale.
He encouraged the people to also vote for APC candidates from President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to Governor Peter Mbah to the Senate and House of Representatives candidates of the party in the upcoming general election.
In another keynote address, the Chairman of APC in Enugu State, Dr Martin Chukwunweike noted that the good works of Pastor Obi-Anike speak volume as his support transcends party line,demonstrating the people’s genuine love and support for him for second tenure.
Dr Chukwunweike urged the people of the state to ignore what he termed propaganda of the opposition parties, stressing that the APC was committed to transforming the country for the better hence the need for the people to support candidates of the party in the upcoming state Local Government election and next year’s general election.
Other personalities, party faithful and people of the area including APC’s candidate for Enugu-East and Isi-Uzo federal Constituency in next year’s House of Representatives election, Chief Chijioke Edeoga vowed to vote for Pastor Beloved-Dan Obi-Anike in the upcoming Local Government election, stressing that his landmark achievements in areas of infrastructure and human capital development seen in the award of scholarships to pupils, students and undergraduates, paying of WAEC fees for students, supply of electric transformers,building of health centers and roads especially in hard to reach areas put him ahead of other contestants.
Dignitaries that graced the occasion include the Senator representing Enugu East in the Senate, Chief Kelvin Chukwu Member House of Representatives, Chief Cornelius Nnaji, women leaders,traditional rulers and youths.
