The Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC, Anambra State Command, has assured motorists and other road users of effective traffic management during the ongoing rehabilitation of the First Niger Bridge, Onitsha.
The assurance was given when the Sector Commander, Corps Commander Bridget Asekhauno, led other security chiefs in the state on an inspection visit to the bridge to assess the progress of the repair works and the security situation in the area.
Corps Commander Asekhauno said the FRSC was fully prepared to manage traffic and ensure the safety of motorists throughout the rehabilitation period.
She stressed the need for greater cooperation among the FRSC, Police and other sister security agencies to reduce traffic disruptions and ensure the free flow of vehicles.
The Sector Commander advised motorists to remain patient, obey traffic regulations and follow the instructions of traffic control personnel.
She also urged road users to plan their journeys properly, assuring that the FRSC would deploy appropriate traffic control measures whenever necessary.
Corps Commander Asekhauno reiterated the commitment of the FRSC to protecting lives and property and ensuring safe and orderly movement of traffic during the rehabilitation works.
