The Police Command in Anambra State has arraigned three suspects before the Gender Magistrate Court in Awka.
The suspects appeared on separate charges of incest, defilement, and rape.
One of them Ikenna Mojekwu, was charged for alleged incest with his 14-year-old daughter in Aguluzoigbo.
While an suspect Chibuike Ikemelu was arraigned for allegedly having unlawful carnal knowledge of a 14-year-old girl in Abatete, an act which reportedly resulted in the victim’s pregnancy.
The third suspect, Chukwuma Emenike, a 16-year-old, is standing trial for the defilement of an 8-year-old girl in Umuoji.
Following their arraignment, the court ordered that they be remanded in a correctional facility, while
the cases were adjourned to later dates for further hearing.
