The Wife of the Anambra State Governor, Mrs Nonye Soludo, has implored on healthy residents of the state to imbibe the practice of regular blood donation as part of efforts to strengthen its healthcare system and save lives.
In her message to mark this year’s World Blood Donor Day, Mrs Soludo celebrated the selfless contributions of individuals who donate blood to support patients in medical emergencies, mothers during childbirth, accident victims, and those battling critical health conditions.
She described blood donation as one of the simplest but most powerful acts of compassion and humanity, noting that every unit donated represents hope for countless families.
Mrs Soludo said that voluntary blood donors are true heroes , whose generosity continues to make a difference in communities across the state.
