Governor Alex Otti of Abia State has inaugurated chairmen and members of six Boards and Agencies in the state.
The boards and agencies cut across Health, Education, Investment, Road Infrastructure and social Service sectors.
Speaking during the inauguration at the Micheal Okpara Auditorium Umuahia, Governor Otti charged the members to uphold accountability, strengthen institutional governance and align with the administration’s development agenda.
The Governor expressed the hope that the inauguration would help deepen institutional leadership and improve governance across critical sectors of the state’s economy and promote the actualization of his administration’s medium- and long-term multi-sectorial development and sustainable objectives.
Responding on behalf of the Chairmen and members of the newly inaugurated boards and agencies,the Chairman, Abia State University Teaching Hospital, Management Board, Dr. Ezinne Benjamin-Kalu, thanked the Governor for the confidence reposed in them and pledged their commitment to support the reform agenda of his administration.
Correspondent Peace Agbo reports that the newly inaugurated Boards and Agencies are the Governing Council of the Public-Private Partnership and Investment in Promotion Office, Rural Access Roads Agency, Abia State Roads Fund Agency, Abia State Lottery Board, Abia State University Teaching Hospital, Management Board and the Abia State Library Board.
