Governor Chukwuma Soludo of Anambra State has inaugurated a 2.5 kilometer asphalt road in Enugwu- Nanka in Orumb North Local Government Area constructed under the Public-Private- Community- Partnership model.
The newly paved road, features integrated drainage systems to tackle the area’s erosion challenges,
Speaking at the event, the governor described the PPCP model as a cornerstone of his administration’s strategy to close Anambra’s infrastructure gap.
The Governor said that the approach encourages private citizens and communities to take ownership of development projects, helping the state make progress beyond the limits of the public budget.
The project was fully funded by a private individual from the community, Mr. Geoffrey Nwankwo.
The inauguration ceremony drew high-ranking government officials, the traditional ruler of Nanka, as well as community members.
