Anambra State government plans to establish orthopaedic and radiology units in the State University Teaching Hospital in Awka.
The Chief Medical Director of the Hospital, Doctor Maureen announced this in an interview with Journalists.
According to her the government will after establishing the units recruit qualified personnel to man them in the interest of the people.
She stated that In the coming years efforts would be made to secure accreditation for residency training in all the departments in the hospital
She revealed plans to strengthen the institution’s satellite hospitals so that doctors in family medicine, community medicine and other areas of expertise can provide services in rural areas for indigent citizens.
